An iPhone user complained that his iPhone 7 unable to take pictures, it makes him mad. Why iPhone camera now working? Find out the reason step by step, and then fix it with simply ways.
Get into IOS to test iPhone 7 camera function, it can't take photos. After reboot or reset iPhone, all fails. Disassemble the iPhone, remove iPhone motherboard, use multimeter to measure the iPhone camera circuit, the PP1V8_UT (1.8V), PP3V0_UT_SVDD (3.0V) can be measured after turning on the iPhone 7 device. The PP2V9_UT_AVDD circuit power supply is provided by the U2501, the U2501 is very easy to cause camera working abnormally. The best solution is to take the U2501 off and then use PPD 861 Plus hot air rework station to short connect it . Continue to test, check FL2500 FL2502 FL2505 FL2506 and short connect U2501 by jumper wire. Test it, the iPhone camera still not working. In this time, we remember that the iPhone flashlight IC damage will also cause iPhone camera function abnormal, the iPhone camera unable to take pictures. Carefully remove the this IC by tweezers, and then use install the new iPhone flashlight IC on it. After finish it, measure it again, the data is normal now. Assemble the iPhone, get into IOS, the iPhone camera can take photos now, it works perfectly.

PCB shorted caused iPhone 6 won't turn on, what's PCB shorted? It means iPhone motherboard has short circuit phenomenon, which will cause many issues on iPhone, such as iPhone fingerprint not working, reports iTunes error and won't turn on. If you are facing this problem, what to do?
1. Try to flash iPhone by iTunes Put the iPhone 6 connect to PC, and then use iTunes to flash it. The result is that the iPhone 6 failed to flash and reported unknown error 53. 2. Measure the boot current Remove the iPhone motherboard and connect it to DC power supply to test, the boot current jumps to about 250mA , it's large current, which means it's short circuit. 3. Measure the voltage and resistance First, measure the 2 power supply of fingerprint, 3.0V voltage is measured low. And then measure the resistance for it, the value also small, and it is very close to short circuit! 4. Find the short circuit parts In order to find the iPhone PCB short circuit part, the best way is rosin method. Apply rosin to smoke the relevant parts into white, then add the voltage on the short-circuit part, voltage was gradually increased (do not exceed the nominal value of 3.0V) until the right part gets heated and turns into different color because large current, then replace a new one to solve the problem) After the components get into white, add the voltage in the right hand side of the second pin(the negative pole of Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter connects ground first, use positive pole to clip a sharp meter pen, and touch the short-circuit part by the pen, adust the voltage from 0.8V gradually increased until the short part gets heating and changes color), you can observe more carefully by phone repair Trinocular Stereo microscope or magnifying glass. 5. Fix short circuit issue Open the WUXINJI dongle to check the location map is C2132, then check the capacitor C2134 principle diagram, we can see the part changes color is the bypass capacitor of capacitance PP3V0_MESA fingerprint power supply, the capacitor short-circuit is resulting in abnormal PP3V0_MESA, so this caused fingerprint and boot failure, error 53. Just remove these several short circuit capacitors, and then measure it again, now all data is normal. 6. Test iPhone functions This is the last step, after install the iPhone and get into IOS, we need to test all function on iPhone to check whether everything is okay. After checking, the iPhone can be worked normally. Last week, we received an iPhone 6S to repair, the trouble phenomenon is that the iPhone 6S camera not working well, rear camera and front camera all has failure. So, now we are going to share some troubleshooting tips for fix this trouble.
Fix Front Camera Repair If the front camera can not working well, check the iPhone flash IC, the iPhone camera can't take photos or videos caused by damaged iPhone 6S flash IC. If the iPhone flash IC is damaged, you can replace it. check the FL3100 FL3102 FL3104 short connection. Re-stall or replace the iPhone 6s power IC. For Fix Rear Camera (three circuit lines) One of the circuit is 1.2V PP1V2_CAMERA from the power supply IC, the 1.2V power supply was sent to rear camera interface J3200 through inductor FL3201, if the voltage is not sent to the iPhone 6s rear camera interface, it is generally caused by FL3201 corrosion, use jumper wire to do short connection will solve the problem. The second circuit power 2.85V is supplied by U3200, the U3200 output voltage 2.85V was sent to rear camera interface through inductor FL3202, the rear camera fault is mostly caused by U3200 damage so that 2.85V is not able to be supplied to rear camera, the 2.85V voltage is not able to be tested by Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter until there is resistance C3200 when taking photos. It's not easy to measure because of narrow place, so we can connect an enameled wire on capacitor C3200 for convenient measurement. Turn on the camera and test it immediately. If it is a good handset, it can measure 2. 85V voltage, if the 2.85V voltage is not measured when the camera is turned on, it indicates that U3200 is damaged. This situation can be also solved by phone repair jumper wire short connection. The third circuit is 1.8V from the IC power supply, 1.8V power supply was sent to FL3220 rear camera interface through inductor FL3220, and inductor 3220 is easy to get corrosion damage so that 1.8V is not able to be sent to rear camera interface, use jumper wire to do short connection will solve the problem. Note: Before you start to repair iPhone, you need to know iPhone schematic diagram, especially iPhone camera working circuit principle. You can check it on WUXINJI Dongle. How to fix iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus won't turn on due to iPhone leak problem? Before boot on iPhone, If the iPhone leaks or large current when connect it to DC power supply, then we can confirm that there is a short circuit on the iPhone PCB board. And for fix iPhone short circuit issue, the rosin is very important. Let's check the details.
Based on iPhone schematic diagram, the boot process of iPhone as follows: The battery voltage VBATT is firstly sent to the iPhone charging IC, it outputs the main power PP_VCC_MAIN and then supply to the power supply IC and other related circuits. When the power button is pressed, the IC output voltage of the power supply is supplied to iPhone 7 CPU, NAND and other related circuits respectively. So, in the absence of an iPhone boot, if there is power leakage or large current when connecting with DC power supply, it means that either the battery voltage VBATT or main power fupply PP_VCC_MAIN has leakage components, which causes iPhone short circuit and won't boot issues. Moreover, there are plenty of components are connected with these 2 circuits, use rosin will help you to find the damaged one quickly. Smoking rosin on iPhone short circuit line by using QUICK 861DW hot rework station, and then the short circuit part will turn into white, that's the problem. After find the problem, we can short connect it with jump wire, then the problem was solved. Note: When smoke rosin on iPhone, you should add voltage in the short-circuited part, the voltage will gradually increase from zero. In order to solve iPhone 6S no signal no service issue, first of all, we need to analysis its reasons, and then find the best solution for it.
After check iPhone schematic diagram on WUXINJI Dongle, we can know that the iPhone signal part is mainly composed of baseband CPU--U_BB_RF, baseband power U_PMU_RF, intermediate frequency U_WTR_RF, 2G antenna switch ULASM, 3G/4G antenna switch UHASM, preamplifier UDIVA_RF, 2G power amplifier U2GPA_RF, 3G power amplifier, 4G power amplifier UHBPA_RF and power supply U_QPT_RF. If there is no signal for part of the SIM card, for example, there is a 4G network but you can't call on the phone. It means that there is a problem in the 2G transmitting part, since the mobile 4G needs to switch to 2G when it calls, which is usually the problem of 2G power amplifier or 2G antenna switch, replace new parts can solve the problem. We should make clear the baseband is starting properly, then input *#06# in the dial-up interface, if the iPhone 6s screen does not appear a string of numbers (IMEI code) which means that the iPhone baseband CPU does not start properly, for some iPhone devices, you can see IME but if the iPhone screen does not display the IMEI after entering *#06# on the dial-up interface, it also means that the baseband doesn't start normally, this is usually caused by the baseband CPU false welding, or it's also possible that baseband power is false welding, the solution is to replace new iPhone 6S CPU or baseband power parts. If you input *#06# and see IMEI codes, it means the baseband belongs to normal start, in this case, try to install different SIM card separately, if all the SIM cards you install have no signal, the problem in the public sector, or if IC emission power supply problems, this possibility may be a bit bigger, the base band CPU or baseband power may also cause the situation. Replace new parts can solve the signal problem. If there is 2G but no 4G signal, the problem is on the 4G amplifier and the iPhone 3G/4G antenna switch. Use QUICK 861DW hot air station to replace new parts can solve it! If you have any good ideas for this issue, please share with us. When i turn on iPhone 7 speaker, i didn't hear any sound. I try many times, the problem still the same, then i realized that my iPhone 7 speaker not working now. So, i find the best guide to fix it!
1. Make sure the iPhone is not set to mute Check the iPhone Ring/Silent Switch first, because this switch toggles between mute (silent) and ringing mode. If your switch flips to silent, your iPhone won't ring. Observe the ring/silent switch on the left side of the iPhone, if you see a little Orange line, you will know that your iPhone is in mute condition. At this time, please pull the switch towards the screen. 2. Make sure the iPhone is not in headphone mode One of the reasons for the speaker failure is that your device is in headphones mode and you are not aware. You can press the iPhone volume button and see if the notification says Headphones. If yes, your device is in the headphones mode. And then check the lightning port; use a toothbrush or small cotton swabs to clean it. 3. Turn up the iPhone volume If the volume on the iPhone is too low, the audio output of the speakers or headphones may not be heard. Unlock your iPhone, tap or hold the volume up button which is located on the left side of your iPhone. Or you can go to the Settings, tap on "Sounds" and raise the volume to the maximum under "RINGER AND ALERTS" section. 4. Disconnect the iPhone from AirPlay Devices Disconnect from the airplay device and make sure your iPhone does not stream audio through other devices, such as Apple TV, rather than your iPhone speakers. Sometimes, your iPhone will automatically reconnect to a previously used airplay device. 5. Turn Off Bluetooth Turning off Bluetooth is an important troubleshooting step for diagnosing a sound or ringtone-related iPhone problem. Typically, even if the iPhone doesn't seem to play at all, the iPhone is connected to a Bluetooth device (such as an external speaker or headset), and the sound is played by the device rather than the iPhone. 6. Reboot iPhone For any major or minor IOS device problem, rebooting is always the best remedy. Take your iPhone and press the iPhone Home button and power button altogether, keep doing this for roughly 10 seconds, when you will get to see the Apple logo, release the buttons. 7. Put iPhone in DFU mode Before your put iPhone in DFU mode, please back up your iPhone first. A DFU restore has the potential to fix software problems by completely erasing the code which may be causing your problem. The code is rewritten as if your iPhone is brand new, so the software problem may get solved. Connect iPhone and computer with a iPhone Lightning cable, and then open iTunes to do it. |
